The best Alternative to talk therapy
This is what makes me different from your therapist:
I’ve Been There
My own healing journey and traumatic experience with the mental healthcare system in Ontario has given me deep compassion and understanding. I know what it’s like to feel lost, misunderstood and handled without out care from “medical professionals”. I’m here to offer practical, grounded support based on real experience, not just theory.
Body-Centered Healing
Unlike traditional therapy, we integrate the body in our work. Through somatic movement, breathwork, trauma-informed yoga, and other modalities I teach you how to release trauma stored in your body, regulate your nervous system, and rebuild resilience. This is how healing and true transformation takes place, through the body, not by talking in circles about your problems.
A Holistic Approach
I weave together various healing arts like Qigong, sound therapy, art therapy and forest bathing to create a personalized healing experience that addresses your soul, heart, mind and body. Talking about your problems can only get you so far, this comprehensive approach helps you build yourself back up on a very deep level.
Radical Empowerment
I help you understand your experiences in a broader context. Together, we’ll move away from labels or diagnosis and focus on making sense of your unique life story in an empowering way.
Building Lasting Resilience
I don’t just offer short-term relief. I guide you in creating holistic habits, daily practices and aligned action that nurtures your mental health for the long-term, so you can live with more harmony, peace, clarity, and resilience.
A Natural Alternative to Medication
I believe in healing that doesn’t rely heavily on medication, as most psych-meds have a long list of negative and harmful side effects. My approach focuses on addressing the root causes of your struggles, helping you find sustainable stability in your life without over-dependence on pharmaceuticals.
A Safe Space for Marginalized Voices
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for those who may not feel fully seen in traditional therapy settings. Your experiences are valid, and I’m here to support your unique journey.
If you’re ready for a new approach to mental health—one that honours your whole self and helps you reconnect with your Soul, Heart, Mind and Body—I’m here for you.
“SUSE’S EXPERTISE HELPED ME PROCESS VERY DIFFICULT EXPERIENCES WITH THE MENTAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN ONTARIO.
She advanced my healing journey more than the psychologists and psychiatrists that I have had to work with.
She really knows how to heal post traumatic stress disorder with her kindness, love, and support. She made me feel safe enough to begin to open up and grow.
I have the utmost respect for her healing work. I highly recommend her No More Mind Games program.”

I have been dedicated to this work for over a decade and I continue to educate, support, and hold nurturing spaces that inspire people to be themselves, heal, explore, grow and have fun!
I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals during profound life transitions, through times of trauma, grief, mental health struggles, substance misuse, pregnancy, parenting, marital/relationship struggles and cancer recovery.
Some of the most rewarding opportunities came from:
facilitating trauma-informed yoga at Bellwoods Health Services to veterans and first responders in recovery from PTSD and addictions
leading corporate wellness seminars for Lindt & Sprungli Canada Inc., Vibrant Healthcare Alliance, Benefit Cosmetics, Toronto Zoo, Hudson’s Bay Foundation, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, Greentank Technologies, Mount Sinai, WSIB Ontario, Edward Jones Investing, Shoppers Drug Mart
facilitating trauma-informed yoga at Fred Victor’s Transitional Housing
co-facilitating Eddy Tony’s Sacred Medicine Ceremonies and Pachamama Retreats.
While talk therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) are helpful for many, they often fall short when it comes to addressing the deeper layers of trauma and the body’s role in healing.
Here’s why CBT and DBT approaches might not be enough:
Mind-Focused, Body-Ignored
CBT and DBT primarily focus on changing thought patterns and behaviors but often overlook the fact that trauma is stored in the body. This can leave unresolved tension and stress locked in the nervous system, making it harder to fully heal. Without integrating body-based practices, talk therapy can only take you so far.
Surface-Level Solutions
CBT and DBT are great for symptom management and problem-solving in the short term, but they don’t always get to the root of emotional pain. They focus on modifying behaviour rather than understanding why certain patterns exist in the first place, leaving deeper wounds unaddressed.
Emotional Processing is Limited
These methods often emphasize regulation and control over emotions, sometimes at the expense of allowing emotions to be fully processed and released. True healing comes when we learn to feel our emotions and let them move through us, not just managing or suppressing them.
Reductionist Approach
Both CBT and DBT tend to pathologize human distress, labeling emotions as “problems” to be fixed. My approach views your experiences as part of a larger story, encouraging a deeper understanding and compassion for yourself rather than simply aiming to eliminate “bad” thoughts or feelings.
Misses the Bigger Picture
These therapies can neglect the broader social, cultural, and existential contexts that impact mental health. I help you understand how your challenges are shaped by your life story and the world around you, offering a more holistic and empowering perspective.
While CBT and DBT have their place, they often don’t provide the full picture or the depth of healing that many people need. My approach offers a more integrated path—one that combines mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing to help you reconnect with your truest self, build confidence and live a life you truly love.
“Suse is one of those rare beautiful souls you seldom encounter in life.
She is an incredible guide with a loving energy that provides a safe space for you to feel and explore whatever arises within you.
If you’re feeling lost or hopeless, consider working with Suse to uncover the root of the issue.
Sometimes, it takes more than talk therapy to open your mind, heart, and soul to a new perspective. Or even just to simply feel something again.
Thank you, Suse, for sharing your soul-work with the world- your wisdom and guidance has helped me more than you know.”
