Anxiety and depression are formidable foes, and it's often a lonely battle. We often carry pain that doesn't even belong to us. Childhood trauma, systemic racism, poverty, climate crisis, can shape the way we interpret the world and navigate within it. IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT! Trauma changes us without consent. You're not alone in this. Medication might temporarily mask the pain and symptoms, but we're here to address the root causes.
Sometimes, it can feel like we’re fundamentally broken, like something is wrong with us and that no one understands us or sees who we truly are. Your potential is limitless and your sensitivity is a strength, not a hurdle. It can be frustrating living with a “mental illness” diagnosis and I get it because I’VE BEEN THERE TOO. For over 10 years, I have had the opportunity to teach and support many beautiful souls individually and through community classes, workshops, retreats and events. I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals during profound life transitions, through times of trauma, grief, mental health struggles, substance misuse, pregnancy, parenting, marital struggles and cancer recovery. Some of the most rewarding opportunities came from teaching trauma-informed yoga to those recovering from PTSD and addictions at Bellwoods Health Services, teaching trauma-informed yoga to female identifying folx at Fred Victor’s Transitional Housing, and holding space for Sacred Medicine Ceremonies and Soul Journeys facilitated by Eddy Tony.
I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist. I am someone who in 2010 was hospitalized after a spiritual emergency, experiencing altered states “psychosis” and diagnosed with “bipolar-1 disorder.”
I worked hard to understand my own unique sensitivities and move beyond the confines of the mental health label I was given. This was crucial for my healing, because what I experienced was different from what “bipolar” looks like in the media and what people around me were describing it as.
What I experienced was a spiritual emergency and the beginning of my soul expansion. Some people call this “waking up.”
After hospitalization and receiving the diagnosis I had minimal support or guidance. The picture my psychiatrist painted of what my future life would be like wasn’t as bright and starry as the one I dreamt of when I was a kid, it was uninspiring and dull. I wasn’t ok with that!
Through years of research, study, trail and error, personal practice, discipline and devotion, I became empowered on my healing journey. I began to connect the dots and see why I experienced what I experienced and how to take better action going forward. I took the lessons and teaching of my life and made appropriate changes. I started taking my life, my health and my wellbeing into my own hands and actively sharing my unique gifts with others. Thankfully, I have been living a balanced vibrant life ever since.
I fell in love with the healing arts and took a deep dive into studying and training in them over the past 16 years. These practices have supported me throughout my mental health recovery and souls journey they are important contributors to my (and my clients) sustained wellbeing.
My life and the transformative experiences that my clients have undergone is a testament and proof that these practices work to support our collective wellness and our individual souls expansion.

I know how discouraging doctors can be when you reach out for mental health support and all you get is a prescription for a drug that has a long list of side effects some of which are the exact symptoms you wanted help with in the first place. You go back for a follow up (if they even offer you one) and they only seem to care about how the medication is affecting you but not really interested in how YOU are doing. I feel for you because I’ve been there. Nothing makes you feel worse than you already do, than when you reach out for help and get rushed out the door with just a prescription.
What I have is lived-experience, EXTENSIVE knowledge and many years of professional training that can support you in finding and healing yourself, just like I did. The healing arts modalities that I implement into my services aid you in healing yourself on all levels; they do more than just treat the symptoms.
The way I provide support is completely unique and different from what you may have experienced with your psychiatrist or therapist. We will work on all levels (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) to heal all levels. I use a somatic approach to healing with a focus on soul level healing.
Somatic means, of or relating to the body.
In other words, we use proven techniques to engage the relationship between soul, heart, mind and body. This approach to healing means that we don’t need to exclusively talk in order to heal. We can do it by engaging the body-mind in very specific ways.
We can heal:
on a soul and spiritual level by clearing traumas and karmas that are imprinted in the body and nervous system
on an emotional level by actively listening to the messages of the energetic heart
on a physical level by moving the body and breath specifically and intentionally
This is bottom-up healing working with and through the body, instead of top-down working with the mind (such as talk therapy).
This is the best alternative to talk therapy.

Often mental health disturbances and “strange” conditions arise when something has gone on unresolved for sometime. This can be on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level or a combination of levels. Our current mental healthcare system does not fully support our wellbeing on all levels. Often when you go to a healthcare professional they will prescribe you medication to help treat the symptoms you describe or that you are presenting at that moment. They do not address the underlying reason for why these symptoms are manifesting.
The work that we will do together is completely DIFFERENT.
Through a holistic, intuitive and personalized approach this program will offer you support that considers all facets of your being. You will get so much more than just a “band-aid solution”. Together we will process and clear trauma/karma, regulate the nervous system and develop healthier habits and daily action to support your dreams, ambitions and soul’s calling.
HERE’S HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
We’ll meet weekly (12 weeks total) 1:1 online (zoom) or in-person (Baltimore, Ontario) for 2hrs.
Our first session will be an introduction where I get to learn more about you, your health and life history, ‘symptoms’ etc. to better understand your needs.
Each week you will be given soulwork (aka homework for the soul) to be completed during the time between our sessions.
During each session we will review the theme, your personal week and your soulwork. Then, inspired by that, we will proceed with an intuitively guided practical session.
Practical sessions may include:
Movement (trauma-informed yoga, restorative yoga, hatha yoga, functional movement, somatic movement, trauma release exercises, qi gong, dance)
Tao healing hands (soul level energy healing, soul song, soul language)
Sound healing (mantra, chanting, singing, sound baths, binaural beats, curated music)
Meditation (visualization journeys, loving-kindness, mindfulness, yoga nidra)
Breathwork (somatic breathwork journeys, various pranayama techniques)
Art making (various mediums)
Forest bathing (in-person only)
By the end of the program you will have a fully designed roadmap that you’ll use to nurture your healing journey afterwards; with the option to continue to work together and go even deeper into the topics and practices explored.
